The Biennial of Visual Arts of the Central American Isthmus (BAVIC) is a migrating biennial. It includes the following national biennials in Central America
– Bienal Paíz, Guatemala
– Bienal de El Salvador (El Salvador)
– Bienal de Artes Visuales de Honduras (Honduras)
– Bienal de Artes Visuales Nicaragüense (Nicaragua)
– Bienarte (Costa Rica)
– Bienal de Panamá (Panama)
BAVIC was born in 2002 and followed the wishes of artists who hoped that the biennial would be a platform that would allow them to express themselves in the most contemporary languages of universal art: installation, videos, video installation, photography, art shows and public performances, among others.
