Could your group benefit from a Wellbeing grant up to £1000? 17 June 2015

Grants up to £1000 are available for voluntary, community and charity groups in the Arun district, which covers Arundel, Bognor Regis, Littlehampton and many of the surrounding villages. Applications are invited from not-for-profit organisations for activities that promote or support wellbeing and health.

The Arun Wellbeing and Health Partnership Small Grants scheme has an easy one stage application process. The next deadline for submissions is Friday 17 July 2015 and applications will be considered by the Appraisal Panel during the beginning of August.

To be eligible for funding, groups and organisations must demonstrate that their activities either promote or support one or more of the Arun Wellbeing and Health Partnership priorities, which include prevention of ill-health, improving mental wellbeing, tackling health inequalities, providing services for older people to enable better quality of life, and working with families, young people and children on a range of lifestyle issues. Further information on the priorities can be provided by contacting the Arun Wellbeing team.

Councillor Paul Wotherspoon, Arun District Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Services, said: “Grants like these can really make a difference to support the valuable work voluntary, charity and community groups provide to the residents in our district.”

Groups who benefitted from a grant last year include Age UK West Sussex, Angmering Voices Community Choir, Arun Dolphins Swimming Club, Arun Access Group, Littlehampton Organisation of Community Arts, Bersted Green Tea and Chat, Rainbow Friends, Home Start Arun, St Wilfrids Primary School, Coastal West Sussex Mind, Frame of Mind, Yapton and Ford Village Hall and Arun Amblers.
