About Me

Fun Facts

Any phobias?:

I don't like strangers seeing through the window in the evening. When I was a child, I saw a silly movie in a camp, and I got that uneasy feeling from there. I suffer from vertigo when I am up high. It is a phobia which I don't know where it comes from.

What’s your favourite colour and why?:

I love colours very much. My favourites are purple, pink, turquoise blue, black, orange..white...and etc. Sincerely I love all very much. Maybe the brown not. I love nature, flowers, lands...and these are full of colours. The biggest painter in my world is God, I only wonder at his work.

Do you live with any family and or pets?:

Yes, I live with my daughter, Szofi, and her boyfriend, David. We have animals including three dogs, two sheep, four chickens and a turtle.

Best and worst food?:

I very like fruit soup. I think, there is no wrong food, only depraved. I think food should be estimated.

Tell us a little about your full-time job and/or education?:

I'm retired. If I can, I paint or draw about 10-12 hours a day, because this gives me happiness. The other source of my happiness is my daughter. She is learning at university and she works near the school. Finally, my other source of happiness is my animals. I take care of them and play with them.

If you weren't an artist what would you be doing instead?:

I'm not an artist in existence, only a human...and I like to be a human (in my soul) forever. The most important thing is to love others.

What moment in your career are you most proud of?:

I had 6 solo exhibitions in Hungary 2018 Excellent award on Artavita 2018 Juried artist of CFA 2019 Excellent award on CFA 2019 Nominee Palm Art award 2019 International exhibition in Florence 2019 International exhibition in Genoa

Before you became professional in art, what is the best non art related job you ever had and why?:

I was a doctor. I like to help others if I know. I worked in psychiatry, but now I don't like to work there, because I think there are so many faults in psychiatric thinking and care.

Getting Down To Business

There’s a lot of artwork on the market these days, how do you differentiate yours from the rest?:

I didn't learn to draw or paint. I do these because I love them. I sincerely paint and draw my feelings and parts of my life. These come from me and I don't know why.

What is the most challenging part about being an artist in todays market?:

Money

For you what is the best part about creating art in the way you do?:

The full action of painting and drawing is wonderful for me. The process. I always listen to music during work, or maybe I dance a little or read poems.

If you were able to go back to give yourself a nugget of advice before you even got started what would that be?:

Do, do with sincerely love without target

Visual art is often love/hate. How do you handle negative feedback?:

I think, that everybody likes other things. This is natural. I respect the negative feedback, but usually, it doesn't influence my work. I refuse only aggressive things.

What do you feel when something is sold? Why?:

I'm happy because I think that my painting gives happiness to the buyers.

What is your creative process like?:

I usually sit down, draw some line or paint colours, and I give a chance for the picture to progress from inside me. Sometimes I feel a hard emotion and that drives me in the work. I like to paint so much, I need this work because if I can't work, I have a feeling that I have not achieved.

What do you believe is a key element in creating a good composition?:

Sincerely love and patience

And Finally...

How has your style changed over the years?:

I have been painting only for two years. My style has changed. Perhaps more and more detailed and the topics have expanded. I feel that I'm freer in my art.

Do you have any upcoming events we should know about?:

2019 may International exhibition in Genoa

I paint because painting gives me happiness and I hope that my paintings give happiness to others.
