GIGGER’S ISLAND, Poole Bay in Dorset. This island is one of a number of small islands in this beautiful part of the English southern coastline in Dorset.  Once a valley, this island and a small number of others, are all that have emerged since the ice age.  Gigger’s is predominantly a wild bird sanctuary and gulls flock there in their hundreds, hunting and breeding in peace.
Painted in mixed media for the rocks, and smooth brush work for the sky, sea and the birds themselves, to create a 3D type of effect adding depth to the piece with movement and vibrancy – on quality fine linen.

Painted in oils and mixed media on a quality fine French linen fabric, hand stretched and using the best quality oil paints.
