  • Model - 01-10-17 A rather loose cubistic sketch done with colour pencils. For the 4th time in a row I used the same (indian) model. Her skin allows me to use a lot of yellow which I counterbalanced with edgy purple planes. I kept the focus on the right side and left the part of the legs on the left side open in order to give it that sketchy look. Colour pencil drawing (Derwent Coloursoft) on Canson "C"à Grain paper (21 x 29.7 x 0.1 cm) - A4 format) Artist: Corné Akkers
  • Zierikzee - 05-10-17 An impressionistic view on Zierikzee, where I came for the first time. I wanted to capture the atmospheric depth while on the other hand I did not want to capture a lot of detalis. The trees for example I rendered only slightly while the stress is put on the water reflections. Graphite pencil drawing (Pentel 0.5 mm, 3B) on Lana Bristol paper (21 x 29.7 x 0.1 cm) - A4 format) Artist: Corné Akkers

    Delft - 19-08-17 (sold)

As I came across Delft by bike I saw the 'Nieuwe Kerk' bathing in sunlight and thought it to be a great opportunity to send it to heaven being a Saturnus rocket standing on a launch platform. After all, what are churches good for anyway except as sending out a signal to whatever God you want to believe in?

    Nude - 07-12-16

A work in which I combined colour saturation with complementary colour schemes. Working with my Indian model always is very rewarding. She has a great dark skin complexion showing all kinds of colours dependant on the lighting and I tried to capture the effect of light breaking on her thighs like light fragmentated through a prisma.

    Roundism (singularity) - 01-06-17

In this drawing I tried to work out my (artistic) understanding of singularity. I came to see that bending curves to straight structures could symbolize infinity on a piece of paper that is restricted by its very nature.
