    Bettie Page - 28-08-17

Returning to Bettie Page once in a while because her body was so slender and enables me to exploit my style of roundism to the max. In this drawing I tried to keep the forms open as much as possible while the extended lines beyond the forms create new forms, even animals!

    Cubistic nude - 11-11-16

Another model in colour and in straight cubistic planes left open to breathe. I wanted to have the negative space be an integral part of the cubistic parts as well in order to cultivate the necessary unity to obtain.

In this case, I present to you the work performed in my original author's technique. In the technique of Neo-cubism the main thing is to convey the emotion of flight that was inside me during the drawing of the picture. For a better view, you can use a frame suitable for your interior and the picture itself. Turning to the workshop that is in your city, you can choose the best frame of your choice. I carefully coat all my works with varnish in order to give glossiness and enhance the saturation of work. Thus the work becomes more resistant to sunlight, water and mechanical damage. Caring for such works is quite simple. It is enough to take a soft cloth, wet and wash the work without strong pressure. Painting and objects of art is one of the most durable things in the world and for decades the work of varnished remains unchanged.

    Gouda - 30-06-17

A view on the Sint Janskerk from Museum Gouda at Gouda, Zuid-Holand, Netherlands. I noticed the branches of the tree in the front mimicing the direction of the stained glass windows of the church, perfectly matching my theory on singuarity of curved lines not touching straight lines into eternity.

  • Julia – 02-08-19 Last year I used dancer Julia Gómez Avilés as a model. Next to being a wonderful person for an artist she is ideal because of her flexibility. She can pose in many ways and has lots of stamina. This drawing is not from a live drawing session but based on a picture I saw in her Instagram account. I wanted to do this one because of the extreme pose and the challenge to render her complex body position in a credible way while still adding value to the theme. The drawing shows elements of roundism, realis mand surrealism. Graphite pencil drawing (Pentel 0.5 mm, 3B) on Canson Bristol paper (21 x 29.7 x 0.1 cm) - A4 format) Artist: Corné Akkers

    Roundism - 02-05-17

Part of the roundism series. I was fascinated by the squares and round forms I detected in the body.

    Roundism - 10-05-17

A pastel variety on the previous drawing 'Roundism - 02-05-17' in which I tried to match the found styled forms to a colour scheme that would match them. It was a hell of a job to balance them all.

    Roundism - 28-04-17

Part of the roundism series, in which I wanted to keep a big part of the body open and indicate and style only a portion of the shades.
