This painting is art nouveau and abstract in style and shows a view though trees to the light behind them. The trees are golden, green, lilac and wine coloured. Hidden between two of them is a small white horse who looks back over her shoulder at us, wondering if we will follow. I walk alot in forests and they fascinate me as they scare me but intrigue me at the same time. There is a different atmosphere in any forest or woodland you enter and I often feel I am being watched in them. Probably because I am. Usually by deer or birds but sometimes perhaps by something more magical. The painting was made with thick and blended paint and was glazed with golden yellow once dry to give the effect of sunlight. Painted on deep edge canvas, white edges, no frame needed.
